Riding in Cornwall

Lower Tokenbury Equestrian Centre.  ABRS Approved Pony Club Centre. A very long established family business on a 100 acre farm nestling under Caradon Hill which is part of Bodmin Moor.   As well as our proximity to the moor we have our own large woods to ride in and superb unspoilt lanes for hacking.

We welcome anyone staying on holiday wishing to ride and enjoy our unrivalled position and variety of rides.   We have a specially chosen team of horses and ponies, catering for experienced adults wishing to have an exciting fast ride or the first time rider wishing to experience the Cornish Countryside from horseback.   All are welcome and catered for, adults or children.   We provide Internationally approved riding hats, and body protectors are available for loan free of charge, so no excuses if you don't own any or have left them at home!   Wellington boots or a good shoe with a heel are acceptable but we also have riding boots for hire.

At Lower Tokenbury we have trained horses and riders for over 30 years.   Several horses and riders trained here have competed at International 3 Day Events and have been selected to represent Great Britain.   We believe that riding should be fun and our main wish is to ensure that all our customers enjoy their experience.

Your first encounter with a horse is often the most important one and our approachable and caring staff have an enviable reputation for giving you confidence.

We offer 1 or 2 hour rides over beatiful Moorland for small groups or individuals.   Routes and type of rides to suit your abilities.   Early morning rides (before breakfast) are very popular with the experienced riders especially on hot summer days.

1 hour Lanes and Wood hacks. 1/2 and 1 hour lessons in school.   Specialist tuition in Dressage, Show Jumping or Cross Country.

THE COACH HOUSE.
2 bedroom period accommodation located in the courtyard with separate enclosed garden and a integral garage. It is a fully self catering cottage with fitted kitchen containing electric cooker microwave fridge/freezer and coffee maker and a dining area.
